1. Steve Coogan

The actor and comedian, Steve Coogan became famous for his hilarious Alan Partridge character. And yet, more recently, he has won plaudits for Stan and Ollie (2019) and Philomena (2013).

Few people know that the comedian has always been passionate about vintage cars and flashy autos. Coogan spoke about his passion when he appeared on Top Gear.

In particular, he revealed his fondness for classic Ferraris. When Coogan wrote off his Ferrari in a road accident, he decided to replace it with a Porsche Carrera 4.

 

2. Rowan Atkinson

Rowan Atkinson is most famous for playing Mr. Bean. The talented comic actor is also an avid car collector.

He makes other celebrity car collectors look like amateurs. His collection includes an Aston Martin V8 Vantage, McLaren F1, 1939 BMW 328, and an Aston Martin DB2.

He's constantly adding to this extraordinary collection of beautiful classic vehicles. He may be a funny guy. But, his passion for cars is deeply serious.

 

3. Idris Elba

Idris Elba is the award-winning star of HBO's The Wire. He's also a huge car lover!

He may be a world-famous actor today. However, he has humble origins.

The actor's Father may have handed down the passion for cars to his son. Working in the Ford factory in Dagenham, Elba's Dad passed on a fascination with engines.

Elba has hosted the BBC's King of Speed, in which the actor travels around the world sampling car culture. His passion for cars doesn't recognise borders.

His collection of vintage vehicles includes a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG and Bentley Continental GT. 

 

4. Chris Evans

The BBC Radio 2 DJ and TV host, Chris Evans is a huge petrolhead.

He has been the host of the BBC's relaunch of Top Gear, in which Evans displayed his love for cars once again.

Evans loves celebrity car collections as much as we do. He has a Ferrari 250 GT California Spyder which was previously owned by the filmmaker Steve McQueen. This cost up £6 million.

Evans also owns the car which featured in the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang film back in 1968. 

 

5. Simon Cowell

The TV media magnate has a net worth of around £570 million. Cowell knows how to spend his money as well as make it.

He has put together an impressive collection over the years. He doesn't like to brag about his cars.

However, he has been spotted whizzing around in a Jaguar E-Type and a Bentley Azure. He reportedly owns a Porsche Speedster as well.

What did you do for your 48th birthday? Cowell bought himself a Bugatti Veyron.

The car also had the number plate 'X FACTOR' to indicate where his fortune came from. He sold it for £1 million after driving it only twice in four years.

 

6. Richard Hammond

The always cheerful Richard Hammond has always been an obsessed car collector. He spends hours chatting to his co-host buddies, James May and Jeremy Clarkson on the Grand Tour.

Hammond simply cannot get his hands on enough Porsches.

He owns a Porsche 928, Porsche 911 Carrera S, and 1982 Porsche 911 SC. Because you can't have too many Porsches, right?

 

7. James Martin

Martin owns more than twenty cars. His collection includes 1965 Ferrari 275 and 1960s Mini Coopers.

Nick Mason is famous for playing the drums in the legendary Pink Floyd. Mason has been collecting classic vehicles since the 1970s.

The prized car of Mason is surely the Ferrari 250 GTO. This car could fetch up to £46 million. However, Mason is unlikely to want to seel it any time soon. 

 

9. David Beckham 

The former Manchester United and England football player, David Beckham also has a fondness for flashy cars.

While many British celebrities collect foreign manufactured vehicles, Beckham has a soft spot for British cars. He owns a Ghost Rolls Royces and a Phantom.

Becks is regularly snapped by onlookers in his Bentley Continental Supersport. For speedy drives, the owner of the Miami MLS club drives his Jaguar F-Type.

For practical matters, Becks also has a customised Range Rover which the number plate 'DB 1001'.

 

10. Lewis Hamilton

It's probably not shocking to hear that the world's most successful racing driver loves cars. He currently races for Mercedes AMG.
